About Us:  
The HALO Center is funded by the Holyoke Public Schools and the Department of Education. Classes are free and candidates must be 16 years of age or older and voluntarily withdrawn from any/all school systems.

The HALO Center is also an Official GED Practice Test Site. We ask test candidates to contact the Center for an appointment. The total time for the practice test is 4 to 4 1/2 hours and we ask participants to break this time up into two or three sessions ( if possible).

Location:
We are located on the 1st floor of 57 Suffolk Street (between High and Maple Streets) in downtown Holyoke.

Hours of Operation:
Our hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Candidates interested in Beginning Literacy, ABE, Pre-GED and GED classes should call the Center to schedule an appointment for a placement test.

Candidates interested in ESL classes should call the Center and make arrangements for assessment and class placement.

Other activities include small group and individual tutoring sessions.
